An issue just started today where my lg ldc24370st freezer is no longer cold/freezing but the fridge is still at its standard temp.

No error codes on the top bar to look up in the service manual. I went to take the back panel off inside the freezer but didn’t have time to take off the door tonight and get it back on.

Any guidance on what the issue could be?

Hi, my ice machine isnt making ice. Its only about 2 years old or less. I ran a cleaning with vinegar and water but still doesnt work after cleaning it. I took the T looking tube in the back and cleaned it (which is a common issue) but no luck with making the ice. Fans run fine, so Im thinking its a cooling issue? Not sure, if someone can help, much appreciated.

Yesterday I bought a samsung fridge off Facebook marketplace. Everything was fantastic, then I got it home, we had to take the doors off to get it in the house. We plugged it in and the lights were on but no compressor sound and the fridge off light was blinking. No other buttons would work independently whether we held them down like the manual said or not. I found on Google to hold down the power freeze and cool to 'reset' the controls. Doing that has it in its current state of no lights will come on, compressor is fully cooling both the top and bottom and the door open chime is fully functional. The buttons still are not working, I cannot change the temp at all and no lights. What could possibly be happening. I did message the seller to see if they have any tips. I dont believe anything is broken.

Where is the capacitor on this fan? Do I have to take the whole fan apart to get to it? The only things I see after taking off the light housing are the pull switch and wires (see pics)

The fridge came with the house when we bought back in 2024 and has been working fine up until a few weeks ago.

Recently I noticed it's been making this loud snapping sound. I found this thread talking about a similar issue and the sound sounds exactly like from the video posted in that thread (https://www.reddit.com/r/Appliances/comments/1ohsa5b/samsung\\_refrigerator\\_very\\_loud\\_popping\\_noise/). The sound always catches me and I always think it's something dropping or breaking.

Also noticed the fridge side isn't cooling as cold as it used to. I put a thermometer in there and it hovers around 50°, even though the temperature on the fridge display shows 38°. Items in the fridge still feel cold, but not as cold as before.

Could these two issues be related??

I have been facing this issue for a few weeks now. The dishwasher starts and about ~15-30 mins (not sure of the timing though), it stops working flashing Normal+Heavy+Smart Auto lights. The manual says it is low-level sensor error. I have tried lots of things: filter cleaning, sump area cleaning, validating that the leak sensor in the bottom tray doesn’t have water/moisture around, running the diagnostic modes, cleaning the case sensor (DD94-01006A) thoroughly but the problem persists. The worst (or not so bad actually) thing is that it doesn’t always fail (works 2 out of 10 times), and when it errors out, and if i run the cycle again it completes fine on third time usually.

I am out of ideas on this one and would appreciate suggestions and help.

Just completed a suspension rod replacement on our Samsung washer(WA44A3405AP). The washer was setting off an unbalanced load code every single time we put in a load and the drum was banging into the sides. If you push down on the drum when it is empty it should only return to its original position when released, absolutely no bouncing whatsoever. They were simple to replace, took twenty minutes. The replacements were $35 on Amazon.

Ive had multiple chest freezers break around this area in the past 8 years. I run a restaurant so I have a lot of chest freezers. Is this from over-extending the lid? How should I prevent/fix

Purchased from Lowe’s about five years ago, never had an issue before.

Hoses are clean and have pressure. The screens inside the unit where the hoses attach are clean and have no scale or buildup.

Strangely, it stays on “Sensing Fill” while it’s waiting for water and you can hear tiny amounts dripping in…if you lift the lid and place it back down sometimes you hear a big rush of water and then right back to a trickle.

Any (and I mean any since it’s back to school) help is so very much appreciated. Usually I can fix most things, this one is stumping me.

Theres this weird smell coming from both freezer and fridge and affects the taste of the ice in the dispenser.

I washed the dispenser 2 days ago and the ice tasted somewhat fine again but now I can taste that funk again.

The water tastes just fine though.

Im not sure whats causing the funky smell and taste

Do I have a umm refrigerant leak? Im not sure what the indicators are.

Sry ignore roach stuff. I'm currently... trying. To take apart my Frigidaire to clean out everything and I see this lump. What should I do, what is this?

It’s a built in fridge so he said he couldn’t see enough of it to tell what’s going on but guessed it might have to do with the sealing(?) or maybe it’s called insulation, I’m not sure.

He said the next step was to hire someone in construction to pull the fridge out. Is that really the only next option? Would greatly appreciate any help!

A few days ago I asked about my washer not agitating but spinning. I ordered new parts and thought I had it fixed, but found it was the just the central tower of the agitator was not tight enough, or perhaps it was a combination of both worn out gears and loose agitator. I tried testing the washer out and with no laundry the machine can agitate just fine. However with towels it immediately stops agitating and with clothing it stops agitating after a few minutes and the tower is loose again.

I took the tower out to investigate it further and found a white plastic ring around the bolt that looks to have come from the tower. I am assuming this is the cause of my issue. Is this fixable in some way or do I need to order an entirely new tower?

Have a 10yr old EFME617STT0 dryer that won’t run. Any program just starts up and runs for 10s then shuts off. Tore it apart 3x. Replaced the heating element , then replaced the high limit thermostat, now just checked the thermal fuse (good). At a loss. Same E64 error when put in diagnostics. Already have $170 in parts for it. Could it be the control board (another $160?). Not sure I want to dump more $$$ into it vs. buying new. Any ideas?

Quick back story, we bought a Samsung Bespoke fridge 2 years ago and it completely died. Motherboard, sealed system, and the water pitcher switch all within 3 days of each other. After taking Samsung to small claims court, we finally received a check for the full refund amount plus court fees.

My question is, what brand of fridge would this sub suggest? We are a 3 person (2 adults 1 child) household. We need a counter depth fridge with water and ice dispensers. We would like either a side by side or French door.

We overall just want something reliable. Any suggestions on brand or specific fridge?

Hi i have an older Whirlpool Dishwasher, Model: DU960PWKB1 Serial: FL4104695, it recently started to make a weird noise, and I looked it up, and it said that something is most likely stuck in the filter, making the pump work harder. So I began taking it apart and there is definitely something stuck in the filter portion, but I can’t get it out because it doesn’t seem like it wants to open. I’m not sure if it does open or not. Is there a way to get these two pieces apart?

My cousin’s dryer randomly stopped working. It was showing 0 signs of power, the screen wasn’t turning on, the buttons didn’t work, it was almost as if it wasn’t plugged in. Checked the breaker, breaker was good, checked the voltage on the outlet itself, it was reading 240, and 120v, checked the dryer terminals and it was receiving proper voltage, checked what I believe to be the relay, and the continuity was good, and now I’m stuck, anyone know what I should do next? The dryer wasn’t bought from the company itself, it was bought used so I can’t get a warranty claim.

Another thing anyone know where the thermal fuse is? Can’t find any info online on exactly where it is.
