This is my new betta. Is she really a yellow hellboy? She is a female and i got her in my local fish store. Is her colouring rare or interesting? How common are these?

I've had Marlo for approximately 2 weeks, and his white coloring switched colors and brightens everyday🤍 he looks holographic!

Dear Chalie,
oh you were such a funny guy. But you knew how to give me heart attacks all the time. Since the first day I got you back on 11/6/2024 you were so gorgeous I was immediately in love with the way you looked at me in the store.
you were about 2 years old now, yet you’ve outlived any betta that came here later than you did. you were such a strong boy. I hope you know how much I love you, I wouldn’t trade those greetings im the morning or the greetings you gave my parents when they came to look at your tank.
You were so special and you’ll always have a special place in my heart
11/6/2024 - 9/1/2026 ❤️🩹🪦
First pic was his first day, second pic was before he got sick

Opinions? Planning on adding more plants on the bottom since it’s kind of top heavy. Should I add sand over the fluval or keep it as is?

I just got a new pink orchid, beta fish. I’m used to a very small female fin type, but I have seen pictures of pink orchids with larger fins that are still females so I’m not super sure.
I would like some name ideas mainly more on the fun/funny side cute is also welcomed. Any really name ideas would be nice.
(it is currently acclimating to the temperature in my tank)

he fasts once a week, gets fluval bug bites betta formula 2x daily (granules in amounts no bigger than his eye each feeding time) and i vary in frozen brine shrimp and bloodworms here and there. no pineconing or any unusual behaviors, just a little gut. i worry that im not feeding him enough :( it isn’t his fasting day but i didn’t feed him this morning

I’ve had Gomez for over a year now, he’s my best buddy and most faithful friend! He was previously in my 20 gallon tall tank with 7 rasbora. Although it was tall, he really enjoyed diving down to the bottom of the tank and exploring down there!
His new retirement tank is a fully cycled planted 10 gal with a sponge filter and heater. I’m wondering if anyone has any suggestions to make the tank more suitable for an elderly fish? I wanna say he’s probably about a year and a half old, which isn’t super old for a betta, but he’s been through my moving apartments and two previous tanks! Since taking these pics I have propped the wood up so that he has a nice rest, plus his hammock. TIA!

I thought he was gone after I acclimated him and he sank and stayed at the bottom for what felt like a good 30 second to a minute. My heart stopped. He perked up really quickly and started swimming around a lot. His colors are way more vibrant than earlier when I took this picture. I've kept the light off and set it on a timer. It'll turn on later tomorrow.

Y'all liked the last betta plush I posted, so I thought I'd share another! This one was from a couple years ago, too! It was a lot of fun figuring out her design. Both sides have different markings and I got to experiment with how to position everything to embroider the markings with my embroidery machine! (I have mostly been using my sewing machine for the markings, up until this girl!)

We rescued Moissanite from PetSmart maybe a month ago or so, and he’s really started to show off his colors! Originally he was a steel gray color with just some hints of gold and purple, so we didn’t expect him to turn out so radiant!!! I’m curious about what color type he is (alien?) because he doesn’t seem to be any of the morphs I’m the most familiar with. Thanks and enjoy!

I’ve had him for a little over two months :)
His tummy is a bit round…I committed the unforgivable act of giving him TWO pellets last night instead of one

This is my pretty little guy Beau; Named after Australian Rules player Beau Waters (Last Picture) and has the colours to match 😂😊

he looks kinda fat to me, but I'm not sure. If he is, what do I do? (He is in a temporary tank)

I broke rule one and I took home a betta from a PetSmart. Usually I go the LFS route or like my last betta he was a FB marketplace free with fishbowl rescue but my heart broke when I saw him on his side with clamped fins and so pale. He is the smallest betta I have ever seen with my own eyes at only about an inch long and I couldn’t stop thinking about it after we finished grabbing cat supplies so….here we are. I honestly wasn’t sure he would make it but they marked him for 3 dollars and left him there like he didn’t matter and now he is told he’s a beautiful boy every day and gets to chase some shrimp. Last pic is of the day he came home for his glow up comparison.

Do you think this nightstand would be safe to hold two 5.5 gallons next to each other? I’m trying to make more space in my room so it would be awesome if this stand could hold both my tanks but I don’t know if I trust it since everything I have read said it would weigh 100+ pounds. I will be moving it into a better spot if it will work!

My tank is super overgrown and the roots from the floating plants are out of control but my fish seems to love laying across all the plants? He’s got super heavy fins and they aren’t even all the way grown back (back in February all his fins literally fell off, he was just a body and looked like he was actively decaying. I did more than recommended rounds of Kamala’s trying to save him and he got better and his fins are growing back!) I’m torn between taking some plants out/trimming the roots so he has more swimming room or just leaving it since he doesn’t swim great anyways and does use the roots/plants to lay on.

Currently my betta and her pink lady nerite friend are in the superfish 30. She is doing fine in it but I want to give her more space since she is rlly active. Would this aquarium be okay or is it too tall?
What aquariums do you guys think is best to keep betta?

I can’t tell if she’s ideal, thin, or underweight because of the sharp decline at the tail. Please ignore the algae bloom, I looked up what to do with it and I am told to starve the tank of light and my fish for a few days, but I’m not sure if I should go ahead with it now when she looks like this.
