Google Pixel 11 Pro Storage Health
Do you really believe it is any different than any Google Pixel phone.
Do you really believe that Google Pixel 11 has endless magical RAM that never ends.
Do you really believe 12GB RAM is enough for Google Pixel 11 PRO - here is the proof how is fast it runs out RAM:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jGOhP3585WM
And then after few years you will come here to reddit with the usual cry - I did Android update and now I have "black screen" - but what actually happens is that Android updates causing lots of read/writes to storage chip.
Then learn about what are Video Boost storage usage.
And finally - Storage Health feature exist and instead to show it like Battery Health - Google decided to HIDE IT - just imagine if this would happen in Windows Desktop PC world (hide this THE MOST IMPORTANT information about your own data)
YES Storage Disk has expiration date like... milk (but longer) and imagine no expiration date on the bottle. People would go to jail for this.

Ga4 Shows sharp drops on Aug 31 2026 data for many of my client sites
I have several ga4 accounts for clients I manage. They all show a sharp drop on Aug 31 2026. Is there an outage or anyone else having this issue? Im trying to figure out what these sites have in common for the builds or analytics setups outside of just using GA4.

Google UX Designer Hiring Assessment – Looking for Preparation Tips & Experiences
Hi everyone! 👋
I recently received an email from Google regarding the UX Designer hiring assessment and will be taking the assessment as the next step in the hiring process.
I’m trying to understand what to expect and prepare appropriately before taking it. If anyone here has recently taken the Google UX Designer hiring assessment, I’d really appreciate your insights.
A few things I’d love to know:
-What is the assessment format like?
-What types of UX/design questions or scenarios should I expect?
-Are there any specific topics or skills I should focus on while preparing?
-Are there any official or unofficial practice/demo assessments available?
-How did you personally prepare for it?
-If you remember any sample questions or question types, could you share them? Even a general idea would be really helpful.
-Is there anything you wish you had known before taking the assessment?
I’m especially interested in hearing from people who have actually taken the assessment recently, rather than general Google interview advice.
Thanks in advance to anyone willing to share their experience! 🙏 It would really help me prepare with a better understanding of what to expect.

Upgrading router save Google Pixel 11 10 9 battery
Many people spend like $1000 on smartphone but keep use $50 trash routers.
Upgrading to a Wi-Fi 6 or Wi-Fi 7 router reduces smartphone battery consumption primarily by allowing the Wi-Fi chip to remain in a low-power sleep state longer and spending less energy per megabyte of data transferred.
Target Wake Time (TWT): Wi-Fi 6 and Wi-Fi 7 allow the router and your phone to negotiate specific scheduled times to send and receive data. Instead of keeping the phone's Wi-Fi radio continuously powered on to listen for network beacons, the modem enters a deep sleep state and wakes up only during designated micro-intervals.
Faster "Race-to-Sleep" Speeds: Wi-Fi 7 (utilizing 320 MHz channels and 4K-QAM) and Wi-Fi 6 deliver much higher data throughput. Because files, web pages, and video buffers download significantly faster, the Wi-Fi radio finishes its work quicker and returns to its low-power idle state almost immediately.
OFDMA (Reduced Queueing Overhead): Wi-Fi 5 forces devices to wait in line to transmit data sequentially. OFDMA (Orthogonal Frequency-Division Multiple Access) splits channels into smaller sub-carriers so the router can communicate with multiple devices at once. This eliminates idle waiting periods where the phone draws power just holding an active channel state.
Multi-Link Operation (MLO): Exclusive to Wi-Fi 7, MLO allows the phone to transmit and receive data across multiple bands (2.4 GHz, 5 GHz, and 6 GHz) at the same time. If one band suffers from momentary interference, packets switch dynamically without dropping, avoiding energy-expensive re-transmissions.
Less Interference on the 6 GHz Band: Wi-Fi 6E and Wi-Fi 7 leverage the less congested 6 GHz spectrum. A clear, interference-free channel allows the phone's power amplifier to run at lower transmission wattage while maintaining a strong connection.

Google image search experiment
Different annoying behavior in google image search is apparently for my convenience. sigh. Rather then opening images in a right-side window, it's a floting window covering all the other images
just ranting.
AI says:
What you are experiencing is a Google Live Experiment, a server-side user interface test where Google temporarily changes layouts for random users to gather data. Instead of opening the preview in the classic docked side panel introduced years ago, this experiment forces the selected image into a large overlay or centered floating window that blocks the surrounding grid.
Because this is a server-side change tied directly to your account, there is no official setting or button to disable it.

Google Workspace Idea
I was thinking the other day about Google Workspace and all you can do within it for business and I thought about some of the applications I use daily; in particular Google Keep.
Wouldn't it be great if Google revamped "Keep," and add more features to it so that it could essentially be their own version of Notability or something like Apple's Notes app?
I thought that if one day we could have a tablet designed for business that uses Google's ecosystem and it was a collaborative device between Google and Samsung it would be a solid slate to work.
Maybe it's just my love for tablets, digital note taking and Google, but I thought it would be a solid venture and something like Keep revamped with pen/stylus support, lockable notes, actually folder creation would be awesome but not have it be a standalone application, but integrated within Google Drive seems to make the most sense to me.
A stretch, or something that may one day be a possibility?

Reviews systems
I follow a tiktokker who recently lost a pet in the care of a dog trainer. When she shared what happened, she recieved several emails from people who also lost dogs in this trainer’s care. I am not disputing or verifying these facts. These are tragedies. Her pup’s death made local news.
The tiktokker reported on her posts later that she verified the trainer through yelp and google reviews. The folks who contacted her about their dog’s death or injury with this trainer’s left negative reviews. Later they found that they were deleted. The news story below does not mention the use of reviews by the tiktokker and her husband. She explains how she used reviews in her social media posts.
I use online reviews for many purchases including travel and hotels.
Is there something amiss with these review platforms? Are negative posts being removed? Thank you.

Goodbye Google
Okay, I've been a loyal supporter of Google for over 2 decades. Loved their products and have set up and synched my home, loved their altruistic philosophy, and I've owned their stock. Now, G home sucks and they have obviously lost their altruistic direction and are more interested in preservation of their wealth. Their Lake Ontario gaffe was the end. I'm jumping ship and figuring out a way to replace it all. Get on the right side of history Goog.

Google has lost its way
I purchased a Pixel 11 Pro through the official Google Store in Belgium. As a long-time user of Google devices—previously owning a Nexus, Pixel 3a, and Pixel 6, and currently using a Pixel 10 Pro. I have been a consistent customer of the brand.
Upon delivery, the package arrived opened and empty, and no signature was required for the shipment. The parcel's condition was documented, and reports were filed with both the retailer (Google) and the courier service. After an investigation, the retailer (Google) declined to provide a replacement or refund. The decision has been contested, and a formal dispute process has been initiated with the card-issuing bank. Consumer protection authorities have also been contacted to pursue the matter further.
I loved Google and all their products for over 2 decades with photos, Gmail, Android , the works. Genuinely surprised they disrespect both paying customer and local regulation like this. At this moment I would not even want the pixel 11 for free
