I'm watching a video currently that's ranking a lot of 2D Mario stages, and every now and then it shows stages from Super Mario All-stars, I'm wondering if it's worth it to get the Wii version over the SNES version due to my couch being too far from the TV for normal wired controllers to play the original SNES version, so the Wii version might be better in that regard for me for the Classic Controller plugging into the Wiimote, however I do hear that some people say the SNES version is still the better pick so I'm wondering which version I should get, as I do have a way to play both versions, being 3 Wiis (overbearing I know lmao) and a Wii U for the Wii version, and the Retron 5 for the SNES version

I do know that there's also the version of All-stars with Mario World, but that's not one I need as I already have a cartridge of Mario World so it would feel a bit redundant

Hey so bear with me I’m aware it’s a bit of a weird question

I didn’t grow up playing games, maybe nintendo ds at most, and even that was limited to 2 hours a day.

I recently started playing overwatch and I want to get better at the game. I sink about 2-3 hours pretty consistently after work and have been climbing, at around plat to emerald now, all the way from bronze. Not too shabby for a first time fps I would say. The climb has been very motivating and I want to get better at the game.

But I want to play helldivers too, to play with my friend. so my question is… how do I invest in both? I do still want to get better at overwatch. Is there a way to keep that momentum going without having to sink multiple hours into it? Sometimes I’m gone for a week or two for a business trip and my aim was already off. So how do you balance that?

A) The connection quality has to be better then what is available in most developed nations on earth in order for most games to be playable.

B) This bs where there's a queue??

C) You can't AFK for more then 5 minutes without getting booted out.

Years ago I played a game on the Xbox (OG) and I keep having flashbacks to some of the gameplay. I must have been playing in the 00s. And while I can't really remember the story line too much, I do remember that you played as a young woman exploring quite a dark world. There were circular portals that transported you around, and you had a monster companion thing that sort of looked like a gargoyle. You could switch between playing as the girl and the gargoyle thing, which helped get through the game. And I'm sure later in the game you unlocked other characters/creatures that you could play as, as well.

I know it's not a lot to go on, but I can't stop thinking about what it was.

I have seen how dlss 5 looks like and even on comperesons on games like elden ring first thing came to my mind was that one minecraft texture pack with ultra realistic faces on mobs and such. It just looks bad man. And it aperantly makes the game run bad too ?

Just wanted to share some more new clips for my horror game called WHERE DOLLS HANG. It's a horror game inspired by one of my all time favorites games, mixed in with a bit of Mexican folklore into it. The game is also actually inspired by a real life location.

I’m aiming mostly for slow, dread with environment horror. Game will be set in multiple locations both indoors and outdoors, and you use your camera to investigate / see through the night.

Based just on what RS recently released, are you more exited about GTA 6? Or less, or even just not interested.

I’ll go first. Id say im less excited. I’ve only ever dabbled in the franchise but love all sorts of games and am always up for trying out something new. My main gripe is that Jason seemed like he had no personality. He just came off sort of flat. Kinda concerning since these games are so story driven. Maybe they are just holding back? Hopefully more is released before the game launches.

Bought Bully: Scholarship Edition the other day. I remember when this game came out and my mom got it for me and 8-10 year old me was rarely ever seen until after I finished this game. They just don't make em like they used to

1. Shovel Knight: Plague of Shadows

- Plague Knight’s movement is kind of divisive and frequently misunderstood, but the feeling of flying through Shovel Knight’s levels by skillfully chaining bursts and double jumps for crazy momentum never gets old. He’s way more freeform than the other protagonists.

1. Pseudoregalia

- Sybil can get some shocking distance from her momentum-building slides and precise wall kicks. The expressive movement in this game breaks the metroidvania structure wide open.

1. Rayman Origins/Legends

- The movement in these games are simultaneously fast, fluid, and incredibly responsive and understandable. The fact that attacking enemies while dashing builds momentum rather than slowing you down is everything, and every piece of Rayman’s kit works together perfectly.

1. Super Mario Sunshine

- I know Odyssey is more varied and controls more precisely than Sunshine, but I love the way this game feels. It’s a higher learning curve than most Mario games, but learning Mario’s moveset here and using F.L.U.D.D. to your advantage makes exploring every sandbox an absolute joy.

This is for the people with cavemen like mentality who say "AI = BAD".

Yes, I'm against DLSS 5, but people are blindly hating it for the wrong reasons and calling it "slop" which does nothing but satisfy their own ego. There's two problems with DLSS 5. The performance loss just isn't worth it. The cons outweigh the pros massively. Secondly, DLSS 5 is gonna make a lot of game devs like Ubisoft and EA, and maybe even indie devs lazy by making DLSS5 a norm and almost completely abandoning artstyles (which is already on the verge of dying) in games. We've reached to the point where graphics don't need to be realistic, they need to be stylized and unique. I just want all the blind AI haters to think rationally and not just blindly hate on something.

This is something i wanted to talk about so, feel free to speak up your mind, or keep on blinding hating, fyi i DO hate DLSS 5 but for the right reasons.

EDIT: I think a lot of people are misunderstanding my point. I am NOT defending DLSS 5. I am AGAINST DLSS 5 too. I think the performance cost isn't worth the visual improvement, and I'm concerned about what the widespread AI-based rendering could do to game development and artistic direction of all the upcoming games. My point is that “AI = bad” or “it's slop” isn't an argument by itself. If you hate DLSS 5, hate it for actual reasons. Criticize its performance, visual artifacts, latency, potential impact on developers, art direction, etc. Don't blindly repeat “AI bad” simply because everyone else is saying it. I'm not arguing against you. I'm arguing that we should have better reasons for reaching the same conclusion.

I saw some posts going around that claimed to be in-game screenshots of DLSS 5. I thought they looked suspiciously fake and I couldn't find any videos online that showed gameplay of the games with DLSS 5, so i decided to try DLSS 5 on High-FI Rush myself. the top 4 four images are what i captured on my PC with each of the DLSS 5 presets. compared to the bottom image where you can see the protagonists face looks completely different.

I'm not saying anyone has to like DLSS 5 but if we're going to criticize the technology we should at least be fair in doing so and not form an opinion based on fake still images posted by users online.

Why are so many video games based on anime, Adult Swim, and animation poorly made with bad graphics and bad gamplay?

I don't know why don't franchises creators hire studios who makes high quality games to create games for their franchises
