Historical Nuremberg UFO Incident Recreation
I thought it’d be interesting to digitally create the drawings and written accounts of the Nuremberg UFO incident
Edit: take a look at the original drawing of the incident.

Fan Art [OC] What If Frieren Found the Elder Wand?
...her finding the Elder Wand, examining it like a strange old stick… then casually pointing it at a tree to see what happens. Turns out that was probably a bad idea. 😅

Was passiert also, wenn eine Generation kollektiv sagt:
Nein. Nach uns kommt niemand mehr.
=>
Dann gibt es irgendwann keine Steuerzahler mehr. Keine Soldaten. Keine Arbeiter. Keine Untertanen.
Man muss niemanden stürzen.

A big obstacle to “post-racial” society is self-alienating minorities who blame everyone else for their own bigotry
A lot of people who aren’t white mainly feel comfortable with people of their own race, and this leads them to alienating themselves in places where they’re not the majority.
But because they believe they can’t be bigoted, they think it’s everyone else’s fault.
As a result, integration is more difficult.

🍑 Discussion 🍑 phaedra and porsha disgust me
i know this topic has been discussed many times over, but i’m on my first watch of season 9 and this whole drugging accusation is egregious. we have always known that phaedra lies, but this season she takes it to another level. to spread this kind of rumor and continue to pretend to be a friend to kandi is insane. and porsha repeatedly insisting that it’s true with a smile on her face while she has no evidence is just as evil. i think that’s what strikes me the most about these two. not only do they lie, but they do so intentionally and will slander their castmates with a smile on their faces. i’ve known people like this irl and i recognize that look in their eyes. i honestly might stop watching cause this is difficult to stomach. i’m sure kandi’s not perfect but these two are really something else.

Why does the Myth that English people are 'Majority Celtic' or Briton persist?
https://www.nature.com/articles/s41586-022-05247-2
The Gretzinger et al. 2022 paper seems pretty conclusive that the English are a plurality Anglo-Saxon In heritage, with most of the non-Anglo-Saxon DNA, at least in the southeast of England, being French-like from medieval era and not native Briton. Why is it that such findings don't seem to have been widely disseminated and understood by many people? including people highly interested in genetics and history?
I think there is an issue with science communication on this issue, I don't remember the findings being explained clearly in the media at all, and the fact that English people are in fact mostly descended from migration era settlers is surely interesting and salient - especially as the paper gives estimates of native Briton ancestry as less than 20% in some regions. Yet I still see people posting theories from 2002 from Sykes and posting the 2015 era 2 way model studies like 'people of the British isles' everywhere.
The idea of English people as 20-40% Anglo Saxon and 60-80% Native Briton seems to have been ingrained into so many people and is proving a difficult illusion to break.
It is just surprising that such a massive paper from the largest and most respected genetics laboratory cannot get any penetration into popular consciousness.

Discussion The Hobbit may be the biggest disappointment of the last years
I mean, there have been sets were i expected nothing and ended being decent (OTJ), sets i expected to suck... and sucked (marvel, tmnt, spiderman), and sets that i expected to be good and effectively, were good.
The hobbit is the one set i expected to be good and ended being... not great.
Inflated prices, low power except some idiotically good chase cards, the terrible one ring reprint, short set, not great in limited, the insistence in a terrible mechanic (amass), the focus on minor tribes without enough support before... while still not giving them enough support to actually make them attractive.
I know opening packs is not wise per se, but in this set is has beenspecially bad, because other than the 5 chase cards there was effectively nothing i would use in a deck. So if you didn't hit something of monetary value, you couldn't even get excited over it maybe being a good fit in X or Y commander deck.
I am the only one very disappointed?
