Promo Published my first book The Four Bloodlines

I just published my first book — The Four Bloodlines: Act 1: The Silent Front 📖
Link for the book - https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0HG95HGXP

After years of imagining this world, I finally get to share it.

The Four Bloodlines: Act 1 — The Silent Front

What if Homo sapiens were not the only human species to survive?

In this world, Homo sapiens and Homo neanderthalensis evolved side by side, developing rival civilizations with their own cultures, religions, technologies, and ways of life.

For two centuries, the Sep and Thal civilizations have been locked in war.

In the magnificent capital of Araya, Priestess Charvi struggles to protect her people as the Thals develop a secret weapon powerful enough to change the balance of the war.

As both sides race to develop new weapons, the conflict spreads across seas, skies, and borders.

But the war is not only being fought on battlefields.

Saiman, a Homo sapiens spy living inside the Thal civilization, is caught between two worlds as suspicion begins closing in around him.

Meanwhile, Majid awakens to discover that the memories he thought were dreams may be real—and that someone has gone to extraordinary lengths to make him question reality itself.

The Four Bloodlines: Act 1 — The Silent Front is a science-fiction story of speculative human evolution, rival civilizations, espionage, military technology, and war.

Thanks for reading, and thanks to everyone who supports indie authors. ❤️📚

Artwork Anyone in Delhi into slow, creative workshops?

I’m putting together a small Kintsugi workshop in Delhi — basically the Japanese art of repairing broken pottery and turning the cracks into part of the piece.

The idea is to keep it really hands-on and relaxed: you’ll get a broken ceramic piece, learn the basics of Kintsugi, repair it yourself, and take your finished piece home.

I’m trying to gauge interest before finalising everything, so I wanted to ask — would this be something you’d actually want to attend?

Especially curious if you're into art, crafts, pottery, or just looking for something different to do on a weekend.

Happy to share the details with anyone interested! :)

Discuss I made a short film inspired by 70s independent films - would love to hear what people think - it's called New York Movie and we shot it on 16mm Kodak film.

It's funny! We shot this film in the summer of last year and we got rejected from almost every film festival. So we ended up putting on sold out screenings around the world in New York, LA, London, Dublin and Belfast.
It gave me as the writer/director (and editor) a fresh perspective. It's really not about the film festivals but showing it in actual spaces, to actual people who are passionate and building community.

Here's a link to the film:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bDAqMwFVHDQ

Something that these screenings also helped me with is having an open dialogue with audiences and hearing actual people's opinions in real time.
I suppose I'm coming on here for the same thing I would love to get some feedback and potentially build some community around my film - We just got word that we were selected for a Vimeo staff Pick which is awesome!!
But yeah, I think this is the future of independent filmmaking; building actual community.

What do you think of the film and what do you think is the best way to build community around stuff like this?

If you would prefer to chat outside of Reddit you can always DM me @ weepywoopy on Instagram!!

It's only 9 minutes :) Would love to hear your thoughts on it! We were rejected from every film festival so I wound up putting on sold out screenings around the world to great response. So would love to get some feedback from this community!

Discuss Looking for creative work buddies

Hello, im looking around for a small creative work group or social circle of people who dabble in music. Generally just a creative place where people can talk about ideas, socialize and co-art.

It doesn’t even need to be music per se, just people who like coexisting and body doubling, and are okay with some stretches of silence because we are working/crafting/reading/etc.

Let me know if you’re aware of anything like this that is open to new members!! 💕

The Online.

We're a multidisciplinary collective and independent publication
documenting the strange, beautiful, and ordinary parts of being alive.

Through photography, film, writing, design, music, zines, and whatever
medium feels right, we create work that will linger.

Our work lives somewhere between documentation and imagination.

We're drawn to the overlooked, the nostalgic, the experimental, and the
deeply personal.

Our collective exists to give emerging artists a place to experiment,
collaborate, and tell stories that might otherwise go unheard...
________________________________

For our inaugural issue, we’re looking for work that captures late-night feelings, nostalgia, intimacy, solitude, city lights, empty streets, bedroom ceilings, fleeting memories, dreams, youth, friendship, love, heartbreak, identity, and the beauty found in ordinary moments. We welcome pieces that feel raw, reflective, cinematic, or deeply personal.

3:17 A.M. is a zine about the hours between yesterday and tomorrow. It’s about memories that keep us awake, the conversations we replay, the friendships we thought would last forever, and the strange comfort of knowing we’re not the only ones staring at the ceiling in the dark.

Through photographs, journal entries, illustrations, fragments of stories, and found objects, it explores nostalgia, loneliness, growing older, and the quiet beauty of existing while the world sleeps. This is a love letter to sleepless nights, forgotten places, and the versions of ourselves that only seem to exist at 3:17 A.M.

We accept photography, illustrations, paintings, mixed media, film stills, graphic design, poetry, short fiction, personal essays, journal excerpts, comics, experimental work, and anything that doesn’t fit neatly into a category.

Show us what 3:17 A.M. feels like to you.

Hi all! I am self-publishing my first book of poems, very personal work that means the world to me, and playing with design ideas. I would love any and all opinions; specifically, which would you be most likely to grab off of a shelf? I am open to all feedback and even design reorientation of one font on a different cover, etc… all thoughts welcome

More context: these books highlight the dichotomy of the highs and lows of domestic violence relationships and the real-life dangers and consequences of them
