Ever since the second "tour loop", I've mostly been playing casually. Meaning any driver, kart, glider I want without really going for scores.

i just picked up a 3DS, and with it. MK7. i am just now getting around to playing it.. and it doesnt feel right, at all.

even sanity checking and going back and playing MK8 on switch and even MKDS. the game just feels..wrong???

it almost feels like its too slow and loose.

MKDS still has that nice, snappy feeling MK8 does, despite lacking a lot of the modern theactrics.

just some edge or something feels missing from 7.

Ive been playing Mario Kart 64 since 1997 I’ve seen this games AI be jank and cheat in every known way but I can’t say I’ve ever seen them do this exactly 😂🤷🏻‍♂️

Edit: Turns out I misunderstood the popularity of the different Rainbow Roads. The group tells me the N64 version has the most popular music, a take I hadn’t heard before, prior to making this post.

Is it just the fact that it’s the one that’s been around the longest? I personally like 8 Deluxe’s remix of it, but the original SNES ost sounds to me more like a loud, repetitive siren for the most part. But then again, I’m a youngster who grew up on the Wii & 3ds, so my era of music in general was probably very different in comparison. I wasn’t even born until almost a decade after Super Mario Kart originally released.

I started with a Wii controller playing Mario Kart 8, and I've used tilt controls my entire life. It feels way better than using a little thumb stick, and plus I can do motion glider always. I still play with tilt controls in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe.

In super mario kart if you mess with the order AI is supposed to finish they will assume a new order based on their points standing. Are there any videos that go more in depth into this?

For instance if i'm bowser and mario hits a shell before the finish on the first track and he finishes 4th, he will now always try to be 4th.

Like I just don’t see the appeal or why he was put on there at all. He doesn’t fit in any of the karts and just hovers over it, and the ONLY times I see people use him, or her, is on the dolphin bike or funky dorry. Am I like missing something?

If you add all of this up, you could conclude that there are 1278 courses, including variants (although obviously counting some of these as separate variants is dubious at best)
