I have some samsung and iphones from the 2010s that are damaged beyond use in various ways. Are they valuable to anyone for parts or something? Could I sell them to a random cellphone store, if so, any recommendations?
Or is it something I'd have better luck on kijiji / fb marketplace?
I'm considering keeping them if it's a lot of trouble for practicing hardware repair, I have ipods I'm keeping for that reason, but selling them would be good for buying tools. Thanks.

I live in a Condo and just have these 1 hour lessons where I can sing freely once a week. I am having trouble finding space. My neighbours are upset cause opera is very loud and Toronto condos are literaly shoeboxes.

Posted this in the main Toronto group but it got taken down, I was just beginning to get some great recommendations so hopefully can keep it going here. Thanks!
Hi all, I’ve never been to Toronto before and I’m considering taking a solo trip there for my bday soon, to see a concert one night, and have three days or so to enjoy the city. Wondering what is the vibe for solo diners in Toronto, as well as any recommendations, things you wouldn’t want to miss even with a short trip. I enjoy museums and cultural activities, art, fancy cocktails, history, food (veg or fish preferably), shopping, and weird off the beaten path type stuff. Honestly anything that you think would be fun to do alone lol. Please let me know! Thanks!

I've heard it a few times now on Line 1 northbound approaching Bloor-Yonge TTC station. The announcement basically says there are Special Constables at the station and we can approach them for assistance. Just curious why they started doing this.

Sorry, I don’t know where to find this info. Trying to help out (I guess). If G2 license is less than 3 years expired, no OHIP, no passport (felon)….where to start? No sin, or birth certificate cz like felon you know.
I’d say I’m posting for my friend to get info but that makes it seem more like a lie lol.
I guess main qs:
How to get birth certificate
How to get OHIP
How to renew G2 (less than 3 years expired)
Appreciate any help, thanks.

I’m thinking about buying an EV for the first time. I live in a condo building and installing a home charging station isn’t possible. Does anyone else who has an EV rely on public charging stations? What’s your experience with them (especially in the winter)? Thanks!

Hi Toronto!
I’m planning an event for a group of 18 senior executives/CEOs in late January, and I’m looking for some unique experiences or excursions in Toronto.
The group has done some pretty great things in the past, including:
- Raptors game in a private Skybox
- Market close event @TSX
- Private dinner on a boat
I’m trying to find something that feels special, memorable and distinctly Toronto, rather than a standard corporate dinner or team-building activity.
I’ve brainstormed a few ideas, but these are just ideas off the top of my head — I have no idea if they actually exist, are possible for a group of 18, or are completely outlandish, so please feel free to suggest better options (or tell me I’m out to lunch):
- Craft brewery tour + private dinner
- Behind-the-scenes tour of the Maple Leafs dressing room
- An exceptional chef’s table or private dining experience
- A private experience at a Toronto landmark or institution
- Something behind-the-scenes that the general public normally wouldn’t have access to
The group is quite diverse — men and women, different ages and interests. Not everyone drinks alcohol, not everyone likes sports, etc. So ideally I’d like something that has broad appeal and doesn’t revolve entirely around drinking, sports or physical activity.
I’m also very open to touristy, fun, quirky or unexpected suggestions. It doesn’t necessarily need to be sophisticated or business-focused if it’s genuinely a memorable experience.
Downtown Toronto is strongly preferred for the activity, but I’m absolutely willing to travel outside the downtown core (GTA included) if there’s something really worth doing.
The budget is flexible for the right experience. I’m looking for something high-end, exclusive, experiential, unusual, behind-the-scenes, or simply exceptionally well done.
If you’ve personally done something with a group like this, or know of a place/experience that would be a great fit, I’d love to hear your suggestions.
What would you do with 18 people in Toronto if the goal was to give them an experience they’d actually remember?

Hello, I am visiting Toronto this week/weekend, and I need more ideas of what to do while I am visiting, as well as some places to get food. Don't want to do the typical fast food. Very open to thoughts. I will be staying in downtown Toronto. Here is my itinerary so far. For reference, I am a 24M

Not looking for a party in particular.. But is there any club where weekly (specially on Saturdays night) they'll play that kind of music?
Thanks!!

Somewhere that’s has great but worth it cocktails. This doesn’t mean it has to be dirt cheap, but you should feel like it is worth the money.
Hi, we’re getting a golden retriever puppy in about 5 weeks so we’re canvassing for puppy socials! Can anyone recommend? Has anyone tried the petsmart puppy classes? How was your experience?
Keep in mind that our pup wouldn’t be fully vaccinated yet as he would be only about 8-10 weeks
Thank you!
Long story short, my credit card was lost/replaced and I didn’t realize my TD auto insurance payments stopped going through.
TD says they mailed me a cancellation notice. I vaguely remember getting a Canada Post pickup slip, but it didn’t say who it was from. By the time I went, it had already been returned to sender. I never got an email from TD and had no idea my insurance was cancelled.
Policy was cancelled July 26, 2026.
My situation:
-Paying about $250/month before
-Driving about 10 years, currently G2
-One minor at-fault accident from Dec 2024, which had first-accident forgiveness with TD
-One minor speeding ticket, around 10 km/h over
Weirdly, I got the ticket July 25, one day before the cancellation
-First ever cancellation for non-payment
-I’ve now paid TD everything I owed
When I called, they initially couldn’t give me a new policy because of the accident + ticket + cancellation. The rep told me to call back after the payment clears and explain the situation because they may be able to review it differently.
Has anyone had TD actually reinstate their old policy after something like this, or remove/reverse the non-payment cancellation?
If TD said no, how much did your insurance increase when you went to another insurer or high-risk broker?
Just trying to figure out whether I’m temporarily screwed or completely screwed lol.

Long shot, but does anyone know of volunteer opportunities in an ESL setting? I have no formal ESL training but imagine maybe a teacher could use a second native speaker to help facilitate small-group conversations or whatever. East End.

What are the cheapest Dive Bars in Toronto? Or where should I go looking? I'm talking "cash only" cheap. Close to TTC subway is ideal.
Insert name bar & grill type places.
No draft beer, no cocktails type places.

Do I need a reference from my family doctor? Is anyone here on a prescription of accutane ( microdosing )? - my skin is so oily to the point I'm getting a lot of sebaceous hyperplasia (which doesn't go away like a pimple - but online testimonies have stated micro-dosing on accutane made them vanish)... and I'm also getting large zits at times. I was on accutane in my early 20s ( normal dosage ), and my skin was great and matte on it.
Location doesn't have to be in Toronto, the GTA is fine.

Hi everyone! I’m hoping someone here can help me out. I’m looking for a good florist in Toronto that I can order a bouquet of tulips from for a special person in my life. He really, really loves tulips, so I’m specifically looking for an actual tulip bouquet rather than a mixed arrangement.
The problem is that I don’t live in Canada, so I have to order everything online. I’ve already tried 21 Seven Market and Sweet Petals Florist. I ordered tulip bouquets from both, but unfortunately, I received completely different bouquets instead.
To be fair, these flowers that were sent were beautiful! But… I really really need the tulips. And neither florist/store has responded to my emails, so I’m not even sure what’s happening with those orders. (Are tulips even available this time of year in Toronto?)
I’m looking to spend around $60–80 CAD, ideally on a nice wrapped bouquet (no vase necessary), and I’d really appreciate recommendations from people who have actually ordered from the florist before.
Does anyone have a reliable Toronto florist that consistently delivers what you order and has good tulip bouquets?
I’d be eternally grateful for any recommendations!

My girlfriend and I want to go to a bar for beers after getting caesers at Score on King. Are there any bars that prioritize ambiance (similar to sweet Betty’s?) I can take her to. I would’ve wanted to bring her to a lesbian bar but I think church is mostly directed towards gay men.

I have a spicy pillow I need to get rid of. I usually bring hazardous waste to Community Environment Days but I missed them this year due to illness and the remaining few left are too far for me. I don’t drive and don’t think you can even access the city dumps without a vehicle. I live in a building so I can’t organize a toxic taxi pickup. And places like Best Buy don’t accept swollen batteries. I’ve tried asking in a FB neighbourhood group but can’t find anyone doing a dump run or toxic taxi pickup soon.
I can’t think of any other options here. My building had a lithium ion battery fire last year and I’m so anxious to get rid of this thing. Any ideas I might be missing here?

Toronto is one of the most diverse cities in the world, and I’d love to hear from you all! What restaurant has given you the best dining experience that represents the food and culture of your home country? Feel free to share recommendations from anywhere in the GTA

Me and My Wife are going to Wu-Tang final chamber concert. Wanted to know a quick couple things I understand we’re allowed to bring a small personal amount of cannabis with us, but are we allowed to smoke it inside the smoking area and what is the best way to catch a lyft after the concert, my app says it’s picking me up after the concert Parking Lot 2, Ontario Place, Parking Lot 2. Also, My Wife can’t walk very far.

Pitchfork used to do a YouTube series I liked called Overrated/Underrated and I miss it now. So I thought I’d pose the question here:
Which restaurants, cafes, bars, stores, hangouts, neighbourhoods, etc in TO would you consider to be the most overrated or underrated?
