HELP Foot positioning for backpack?
hi just looking for some advice
I’ve started going out with my dad on his bike, it’s a racing bike so quite uncomfortable anyway but I’m wondering if that’s partly due to my positioning
It’s mostly my heels, I’m unsure whether they should be pointed down? That’s what I’ve been doing but by the time the ride’s finished I have insane pins and needles. Whether this is right or wrong I know it should only ever be the balls of my feet on the pegs and never my heels. But I just assumed they should be down as I ride horses and that’s what you do there too hahaha
he also told me to stay upright when we go around corners, so basically my hips and legs follow the bike but my upper half stays upright whilst he leans with the bike. I’ve been doing this and he says it’s perfect and like I’m not even there around corners, but I’ve only ever seen online that this is incorrect and I’m supposed to lean with him to not disturb his or the bike’s balance? But equally I feel this is probably to the preference of the one in control of the bike but advice is appreciated regardless
