I live in London and this concert was in Bristol. Booked a hotel and everything. I am literally posting this from the train I am taking to go to Bristol for the concert.

I spent a solid ten minutes staring at this today. The thick, dark, structural steel rebar you see on top? That’s from my nose. The pathetic, translucent strand of spider silk underneath? That’s from the top of my head.

​I actually looked up the science behind this because I felt personally attacked by my own biology. Turns out, nose hairs are genetically built to be "coarse air filters," so they grow a massive, rigid inner core to trap dust. Meanwhile, scalp hair is just meant to be "flexible insulation."

​But the absolute worst part? The same hormone (DHT) that makes your head hair shrink, thin out, and eventually pack its bags and leave, is the EXACT SAME HORMONE that tells your nose, ear, and back hair to mutate into indestructible wire brushes as you get older.

​So no, my head hair will never be as thick and luscious as my nose hair. My nostrils are out here building a maximum-security fortress, while my scalp is slowly giving up on life.

​TL;DR: If anyone needs me, I'll be looking into scalp transplants using nose hair donors.

Dentemp should help here but crown decided to say goodbye while eating taquitos. I hope i can get it reattached professionally and that it stays in my mouth while I sleep :)

Edit: I glued it back on with dental glue after carefully cleaning everything. It stayed in all night no issues. Appreciate the responses

Two months ago, a huge storm blew the cap off of the attic access on my neighbor’s roof. The neighboring building is an apartment building, so I reached out to the building manager to let them know that there was a huge hole in their roof. I’ve also mentioned the hole in the roof to one of the tenants who live upstairs. It’s two months later…

And we work remotely 😭

Brazilian car content creator Tabata was stuck in traffic when a thief suddenly attacked her and stole her iPhone. The entire thing happened in just one second.
It took Tabata a few moments to process what had happened before she broke down crying.
But the strangest part wasn't the phone being stolen.
The thieves somehow managed to make a bank transfer from her account, even though they supposedly didn't know her password, have access to her Face ID, or know her bank transfer password.

She later reported the incident to the police. who were able to recover the iPhone.

He tried unsuccessfully to open the broken door before I told him (much to his relief) that our room was remarkably accessible from the parking lot, perhaps a little too so 😅

i have no idea what happened but i’m intimately familiar with the reputation of people that drive this road daily and wouldn’t be surprised if this was a car crash turned spicy. on the off chance their engine just exploded on mechanical issues, this is your reminder to check your oil!

I went to put my glasses on before leaving for work in the morning and the bow for my left ear came off in my hand🤦🏻

Luckily I was able to keep them together enough to get to work, other than having to stop once and dig the bow out front between my center console and floor mat. I also had my portable model building set in my trunk as I had been too lazy to take it out, thank you procrastination, that has some vinyl masking tape that worked perfectly to tape it it back on a few minutes ago now that I’m on my lunch break. I also have a few tubes of UV resin and a UV flashlight that I use for building and just might use that to put the things back together more permanently until I can go and have my eyes checked out as I’m WAY overdue and get a new pair of glasses.

Yeah so my partner loves monkey bread, and I made it for their birthday this year. I wanted to serve it right out of the oven while it was still melty and gooey, of course. So I put in the candles, started lighting them, and they just slowly started tipping over. The birthday candles totally melted inside the bread 😭

A tragedy. Don't know why I didn't see this coming
