Hoping for some advice on how to dispute or if it’s possible to, after being contacted by Control Account on behalf of DHL. This has taken place over the last 8 weeks.

I ordered some clothing from Australia, which attracted import duty which I was notified of via DHL who were delivering the parcel.

I received an email requesting payment, with a link in there. I paid this the same day and have the email receipt from this transaction, along with proof of the money leaving my bank account.

This all took place 2 days before I had a baby. On the day I was in hospital in labour, the parcel was due to be delivered and I requested delivery to a safe space. I received a notification that it had been delivered, and then 2 hours later (in between contractions!) I received a phone call from an unknown number, from an individual with a very strong accent asking me to pay the duty. I informed her I had already paid, but she did not seem to understand this and kept stating the package had outstanding duty. I asked for a text/email to be sent to me with contact details so I could send a copy of my receipt into the relevant person - I never received this.

On returning home, 2 identical packages had been delivered. I had only ordered and paid for one, and have proof of this also via email receipts and bank records.

Here is where I have messed up - DHL sent me a letter with a request for outstanding duty to be paid. Due to be freshly postpartum I did not respond immediately. It had been on my list to do when my oldest returns to school tomorrow. Today I received a text message requesting I contact the debt collection agency.

DHL are stating that I owe them around £65 for import duty, even though I have paid for the package I ordered and paid for. I did not sign for the packages and was not aware at all that 2 had been delivered until I returned home from hospital.

What are my next steps? Do I stand any chance of disputing this and having it removed from my credit file (if it would show on there)? If so, how do I go about that?

I’m very about other peoples experiences with various costars. Ive had so many varying interactions from getting to know one another, agreeing to work with one another, to the actual in-person scenes. But some trends stand out more than others.

1. The "Let's totally work together" [not]. I feel that when you first meet costars online, a good chunk of people will say something like "Oh yea, I like yours style/vibe, lets get together soon" and they eventually just fade away and stop talking to you. They never commit to a date. They continue to post and just went from leaving you on read to never reading your messages entirely. Is this a common trend for men and women alike?

2. The one-size fits all assumption. Some creators love flirting and sexually connecting with their costars and love going out for drinks and socializing for that building of rapport. Others strictly say "This is business, you wont know anything about my personal life as I keep my work/personal lives separate and we wont be doing anything extra off camera, socially sexually, or otherwise" In either case, I see that the social butterfly personality assumes that the "exclusively business" creators are like them or visa versa. A lot of people seem to assume "everyone is just like me" What kind of conversations does one have to bridge the gap between opposing views? Or does a creator just stick to people with more like-minded views?

3. The Mine but not Yours dilema. Some creators have specific brands or a style they want to adhere to. Some costars invite others to film for them on their website but don’t want to make an effort on "How can I return the favor?" Ive had plenty of invitations to come costar for them but because they make no effort to acknowledge my requests to do another shoot featuring them on my pages, I kind of deny myself from working with those types of folks. Does anyone else run into this? Is there maybe a way where fusion styles are proposed? I’m so bothered by this one because I see multiple shoots being better for networking and exposure but some people just don’t want to break away from their brand.

I’m sure there are other issues that I have not ever faced. But I’m curious what people think or how they navigate similar interactions or lack thereof.

I have a ~3 month old kitten who I found on the street back in July with a broken back hind leg. Yesterday was his amputation and he’s doing so well!

Up until his surgery he was on 50mg Gabapentin 2x a day. The vet gave me 100mg Gabapentin to administer every 12 hours. Started last night with only enough to last until tomorrow night (5 doses). I expressed concerns to the vet about gabapentin withdrawal and they told me not to worry about it, but I am worried! Anecdotally and just from personal experience I feel like cutting him off cold turkey after a month and a half of use feels crazy to me!!!!

Should I wait to see if there are withdrawal symptoms? Or after I run out of the 100mg stuff should I go back go 50mg 2x a day for a couple days, followed by 25mg 2x a day? I know everywhere says consult with a vet, but I consulted with a vet and I’m not sure if I agree with them! I do have a vial of the liquid prescription and feel confident in administration so that’s not an issue. Guess I’m just looking for advice if someone has been in a similar situation? I don’t want this baby to experience any discomfort if he doesn’t have to.

From UK - really want to get breast enlargement surgery and planning on spending 3 months in Thailand for travels -- anyone had any experiences with surgeons there? Hi alll.....last night I erased my iMac (Sequoia). After restart, I connected my WD external hard drive and began moving a few folders over. Worked great. The drive also worked perfectly fine on my Macbook Pro (Catalina). I used Migration Assistant to transfer some files to the iMac from the MBP. As that was finishing, iMac froze on black startup screen but wouldn't progress from there. I realized I had left the ext HD plugged in, and knowing from the past this causes issues, I unplugged it. It unfroze and finished restarting just fine. Now, the ext HD does not show up on either of my Mac's desktops, but does show up in Disk Utility, although it will not mount. Format is ExFat. I plugged it into a Windows PC and then back to my mac....no change. It does show up just fine on the PC and I can access the files successfully. Anyone have any ideas or thoughts on what changed?? I appreciate all of the help in advance!
