DIY body damage help Moose accident. Wondering if this repariable?

Hey all, not looking for an estimate but just generally curious this would be considered reparable in your guys' opinion. I hit a moose over the weekend, it was gnarly. No airbag deployement though!

Car details:

- 2022 Honda Civic Hatchback, roughly 100,000km.

- I have insurance and it's on the way to the garage.

Most thing I'm concerned about is the A-Pillar. In my local area this car still goes for about $20,000 used.

1970 mustang convertible
This was my neighbors childhood high school car, it is a 1:1 in the world 1970 convertible mustang with the original owner putting certain options on it from the factory when he bought the car making it unique. The most notable part that makes it recognizable is the hood tact. He loved the car but then unfortunately sold it a few years later. Then 19 years later he found it in a car magazine and the car was in a barn in Indiana. The car was painted red from its original blue and was in horrible condition, him and his brother drove up to Indiana and both took turns reading the vin number and confirmed it was his old car, he then bought back his car for $900 and took 5 years restoring it, everything in the entire car was replaced and the only thing that could be salvaged was the windshield frame and the vin number. This all happened in Louisville Kentucky in the 1990’s but he then moved to North Carolina in 2017 and he had to sell all his cars, he had a bunch. But the one he truly misses the most is his childhood 1970 mustang convertible. Every time I talk to him about it he always expresses how much he misses it and wishes he had it back. It sold through Mecum Car Auctions in the mid 2010’s, If anybody knows the whereabouts or the owner of this car please message me cause even if the person who owns the car now doesn’t want to sell it he still wants to know where his car is. It would truly be amazing for him to possibly see his car again or to even own his old car back. I am doing this without telling him so if I do get any information it will be a surprise for him. (Please ignore the dead stink bug in the picture frame lol)

Tire question 2016 ford escape stock camber killed tires

I’m assuming that I have such aggressive camber from these shot bushings on the rear end, what would they be called? It’s the bushings attached to the skinny vertical camber arms? Or tie rods?
Im unfamiliar with AWD/FWD cars let alone newer cars.

side note I’m getting pretty horrible gas mileage compared to what the car should be getting, as I average around 18~ mpg, but I am in a big city and using my vehicle to door dash. What all could be causing that?
I got the car at 60k miles and have put 40k miles on it in about a year and a half, just done basic oil changes and air filter swaps.
Car has stock spark plugs and coil packs along with stock injectors, could it be time to start replacing everything todo with fuel/spark/ and air intake

Safety Question I need to store my car for 6 months, how can I make sure it stays in good shape?

I have a 2005 convertible Mini Cooper, shes my baby and my first car. I have to store it for 6 months (until end of February), I live in Alberta, it’ll have a cover on it, but how can I ensure it stays in working order? I don’t have it insured or registered, but I live in a small town so I might be able to get away with a drive around the block using someone else’s plate, although it’s not my preference.

Shop Talk Gas mileage question

I used to drive a 2010 Mazda which got 28 mpg. I recently bought a 2022 Toyota Corolla, which is getting 41-43 mpg but is not a hybrid. Can someone explain to me the jump in gas mileage for an all gas car? I don’t have a problem with it, I just love science and engineering.

Thank you!

My buddy has a 2015 jeep grand Cherokee and we checked the oil but seem to be getting different options on the oil level. Pictures are sort of blurry, we just took them.

Safety Question Rusty car.. safe to drive?

Hello! This might be the wrong sub. I just got a car from a family member (2005 Toyota highlander). I’ve been driving it for a few weeks and everything is ok so far (besides a minor leak and cosmetic issues).

I finally did some checking of the underside and oh boy, there is a super rusty part.

Is this safe to drive anywhere? And is there any way to fix this at a reasonable price? (I have basic welding skills if needed).

This is the only super rusty part on the car.

General Tech Head Up Display

I’ve been looking into buying an aftermarket head up display recent for convenience, but want to get a larger sample size of opinions about this.

My preference is the projector versions that just reflect off the model onto the windshield, preferably a GPS and not an OBD2 because I am a little worried about it causing problems with my system. I like these bc they’re usually compact and very simple. I have found a few that I am repeatedly hovering over to buy but unsure. Many are often returned on Amazon and unfortunately when looking up any of these models you just get sketchy links or the same stuff on Amazon.

The questions I have are:
- Are these even worth spending money on?
- Which ones are the best in your opinion?
- Do you know a good site I can buy from?

I need help fixing something Is my crank pulley toast?

Engine: 2001 Toyota 2.4L 2rz

Was changing the belts on my Tacoma today. Earlier last week the alternator belt was squeaking and there was a particularly rough start with a lot of rattling and it sat since then. Finally had time to change it and noticed my crank pulley was pretty… wobbly.

Shall I get ordering a new pulley or is this somehow salvageable?

General Tech How reliable is a Toyota UZ engine vs. Ford's modular v8?

I own a Lexus LS430 currently and I've been looking at getting another, similarly bulletproof car and am debating between just getting another 430, or going for a cheaper Lincoln Town Car with similar miles. Does anyone know how similar the reliability of these two drivetrains is?

General Tech What are the basics to get a car back on the road?

Weird question. Forgive me.

Assume a car has just not been run. For maybe 4 years. It's not broken. It just literally has sat, under a cover, tyres deflated, no servicing, no liquids replaced. Battery has died now. So it can't start. But it used to start.

What is a list of items one has to look at/replace/fix (safely) get the car back on the road?

I need help fixing something New squeal after hitting block of wood

Hit a block of wood today and heard it bounce around a bit. The car drives fine and all the belts are tight. What could this squealing sound be when I get on the throttle? There is also a faint rattling at higher speeds.
