I’m on my first ever playthrough of BOTW. Needless to say, I’m overwhelmed. I have been trying to focus on side quests ( I like to savor the main story as much as possible ) and farming. I have four hearts.

What are some things to do in the game that are beneficial for getting strong, cooking recipes and general advice for the game??

I'm trying to get the rarest variant of enemy for each one, eg silver bokoblin. Still working on it. The uncommon enemies are just placeholders until I get the rare variants .

I'm playing around with dynamic lighting in A Link to the Past. Got to draw a depth map for every single tile by hand but it looks really nice! Also completely tanks performance at the moment.

Note that I didn’t buy anything for this. I whatever I could find in the basement. Such as a torch, a shawl, tape and some sandpaper.

I am looking for a retrospective video I watched a while back. It was a video essay about all of the zelda games (at least the 3d ones), and at the end of the section about each game - the author said “it’s a game about growing up”.

I have no idea who made the video, I’m just hoping someone here has seen it and knows what it’s called. Thanks.

It’s our son’s 10th birthday, and he loves the Legend of Zelda. I decided to make him some custom birthday invitations, using some of the iconography from the series. I opted to deviate from the typical focus on the master sword or the Triforce, and instead highlight the secret stones from Tears of the Kingdom.

He thinks it’s the coolest thing that’s ever been given to him.

Twilight princess is my favourite game of all time and I’ve wanted a tattoo of it for a while. This was the design I decided on after making a few drafts

Ive been playing through Phantom Hourglass for the NDS and once you get upscaling up and running the game actually looks pretty good! I put together a video showing native gameplay vs 6x resolution and it legit looks like a 3DS game.

Im always suprised at the level of detail some of these older DS / 3DS era games have in them. The animators made some pretty impressive models only for them to e held back by the resolution of the panels on the devices.

Overall I havent been enjoying PH as much as some of the other handheld Zelda's but its been fun playing a game that I never played back in the day. There are some genuinely interesting puzzles, as well as some frustrating reoccurring mechanics.

Just starting to get into the franchise and chose to start with Oot. I'm already a fair chunk through the game so I've started to wonder what'll be next. I figured I could try to consult the timeline, but it really is a lot to follow with all the branches. Furthermore, my only available ways of playing are emulators (from GB-3DS unless there's a GCN or Wii emulator I don't know about yet) and my switch. Any reccs, please?

I have now completed the mask and for those interested in making their own you can find the link in my profile. I took better photos this time, using iPhones portrait mode so the images are more natural. The last post was over saturated so I’m taking feedback and listening. The last images show me and my daughter wearing the mask. It’s a bit big for her but the straps I used make it so it fits and stays on. That was fun to figure out lol.

I made this for a friend but it just turned out too good not to share it. This was my first mask I made from 3D modeling to 3D printing. I’m very new to printing and this showed me what I needed to adjust for the next rounds.

Please let me know If there’s any other masks or models you want to see made. I had a lot of fun with this one.

Finally got my 11y.o. son to try Ocarina of Time. Didn't realize just how much he'd embraced it until I saw this response on a survey from his new teacher. So proud 🥲

since age of imprisonment seems to not be receiving any content (praying for this nintendo direct), age of calamity is the best option

i want to marathon all the games as i have never played them before. can someone give all a list of the games in order pls. i also grew up and in a game family so i have all the retro consoles so pls start me from the very start. thank you
