A friend sent me this site. He's been hacked. My girlfriend and I decided to search online about it before doing anything major on there after creating said accounts, because this shit looks mighty suspicious š.
The crazy part is this site is REALLY well made. 𤣠It looks ridiculously legitimate at first glance, which is probably why people are falling for it.
My friend is also a really smart guy who's good with tech, so this isn't necessarily a case of someone being careless or āstupid.ā
His discord is gone now.
Scammers have plenty of ways of getting people onto these sites ā sketchy downloads, malicious links, ads, compromised accounts, etc. And since this one is presented as a betting site, people who already gamble online could be particularly easy targets.
So don't assume you're safe just because a website looks professional or because the link came from someone you trust.
If you've already visited it or entered any login details, secure your accounts immediately and enable 2-factor authentication (2FA). Check your account security/third-party access as well and remove anything you don't recognize.
Seriously, double-check before giving these sites your information. This one looks way more legitimate than it has any right to, damn.
EDIT:
If your Discord was hacked, don't panic and don't trust anyone DMing you claiming they can recover it. Those are often scammers too.
If you're still logged in anywhere: immediately change your Discord password and enable 2FA. Also log out of other sessions/devices if Discord gives you that option.
Secure the email connected to Discord: change your email password and enable 2FA there too. If the hacker got access to your email, they may be able to take the Discord account back even after you recover it.
Check your email for messages from Discord about the email address or password being changed. If Discord sent you a message saying your email was changed, use the recovery/revert option in that email if it's still available.
Contact Discord Support: go through Discord's official support site and submit an account-compromise request. Explain that your account was taken over and that you believe your login credentials were compromised.
If you clicked the Fabowin link or entered your Google/Discord credentials there( Emphasis on entered/ typed the password): change the affected password immediately and review your Google/Discord account's connected apps and security activity.
Warn your friends. The hacker may be using your account to send the same scam link to your contacts. Tell people not to click anything sent from your account.
ā ļø Don't pay anyone who DMs you promising to āhack your account back.ā And don't give anyone your password, 2FA code, backup codes, or recovery codesānot even someone claiming to be Discord support.
