He was in all those teasers and trailers and it seemed he would be a recurring character, but he barely appeared in season 1 and had zero screen time in season 2. I wonder what happened there

The character arcs are great but these little throwaway gags are my favorite aspect of the show.

I’m also really glad this show doesn’t have a laugh track.

My partner's never seen KOTH, and as a big fan, I'd really like to show it to them. But I'm at a loss as to what episodes best capture the spirit of the show for a newcomer!

I think one of the funniest things about Peggy is how gullible she is despite her thinking she is so smart. Like how in Death and Texas, Peggy honestly thought a death row prisoner used to be one of her former students despite him being too old to be such and she ends up becoming an unwitting drug mule. Then there was the Substitute Spanish Prisoner where Peggy thought she was a genius just because she passed an online test which turned out to be rigged that anyone can pass it. Finally in Fun With Jane and Jane, Peggy easily falls under the spell of a cult just because the leader of it is able to flatter her.

There’s about a hundred or more instances of Hank not finding something funny when others do, what are some instances of him either finding something hilarious or at least declaring that something is funny? Can what his sense of humor even is be nailed down?

• Propane-based humor that pokes fun at other heat sources

• Kahn unwittingly making a bunch of double entendres about Bill and his mother having sex

• The TV series Seinfeld

• Bobby’s one joke written for Yakov Smirnoff, sort of (he never laughed but when retelling it to Kahn he at least acknowledged the joke itself is good)

In Season 3’s “A Firefighting We Will Go”, the subplot involves Peggy hiding a pulled groin muscle when she attempted a ‘fireperson’s carry’ with Bobby. During the credits we see her going through rigorous training to build it up, successfully lifting Bobby at the end.

In Season 6’s “Bobby Goes Nuts”, the climactic fight between Bobby and Peggy ends when Bobby’s only line of defense- a swift kick to the testicles- fails to incapacitate Peggy for unknown reasons.

Call it a theory, but I believe she’s got a strong groin due to the training she went through following her injury in season 3. What do you all think?

Throughout the show she thinks she fluent in Spanish but we seen how terrible she is but nobody has said anything about it not the school, principal Moss, or parents nobody in the episode.where she accidentally kidnapped Lupe and gets arrested the lawyer has her plea her case showing how bad her Spanish is basically humiliating herself infront of everyone and she doesn’t even realize that she can’t speak fluent Spanish. Later on we see Hank try to tell her but backs down. I don’t know how the parents didn’t say anything to her or to the principal about her terrible Spanish?

Having about the absolute worst day in a very very very long time and KOTH is one of my 2 comfort shows, what are the funniest episodes that may give me some joy ?

I think there’s something of an interesting parallel between these episodes, including how they’re generally received by fans.

The Probot episode generally seems to be well-received and some like it for taking a boot to Peggy’s ginormous ego, but unlike many other episode, Peggy never actually does anything to warrant the treatment in this particular episode. In fact, it wasn’t even her suggestion that she should create the piece for the zoning board to approve, it was Hank’s after several failed attempts to buy something acceptable. It was also Jazz Colton that contacts her about the Probots, and twists her life story into some tale about an inbred, uneducated fool for no apparent reason other than her found her real life boring, and Peggy proceeds to be humiliated with no particular instigation on her part.

Now when it comes to the treatment of Hank himself in the far less well-liked Hank’s Bully episode, let me make a bold statement here….

Hank deserves it.

…or at least, he deserves it no less than Peggy did in the Probot episode. While the Probot episode is centred around taking her down a peg for her general narcissism, Hank’s Bully does the same as a comeuppance for the many episodes where Hank was a jerk and specifically offered bad advice on how to deal with bullies or even having been a bully to some extent himself in his teens (telling Bobby to “fight fair” and not hit below the belt, making fun of a fat kid, not believing that Jimmy Witchard was a cruel moron) and like how the Probot episode torches Peggy’s ambitions and image in a really severe way, this episode also forces Hank into a situation where his own notions about bullies don’t apply, as well as his weird 1950s-esque notions that don’t work anymore either when he tries confiscating Caleb’s bike.

So what do you think? Do you agree or do you like one episode and not the other and if so, why?
