Hey! I recently started playing senna and i instantly fell in love with her after 1st game, i played some ranked games as senna adc and here’s the thing, i usualy win lane and the game BUT i noticed she barely does any dmg but is good with helping team in other ways, my friends with way higher ranks told me to not use senna and pick something „useful” with dmg instead so i figured i should use her as support maybe but i’m not sure if climbing as support is easy and wanted to ask for tips - how to play her as support and how to climb with her, i really like this champion and i really want to play her

Hey, I'm stuck D2-D1 and I can't reach master, my lane phase is good I think, my adc and me win most of the time, the problem I have is when to roam mid/top ? This is where enemy support is often better than me and my mates are angry, even if enemy support don't play bard they outroam me and I don't want to gank blindly because I loose xp, stacks and gold, I don't know when is the "good time" to roam...
Thank you for advice !

When I forget to buy tear, is it still worth it to buy it past 30 mins? Or should I go another item?

Senna builds I don't see talked about enough — PTA, Aery, Hail of Blades, Kraken Slayer, Manamune and IE
Hey everyone, I'm Graav. I've been playing Senna for around 2–3 years in BR server. I'm currently Plat and getting back into League after a time away.
I'd like to discuss some Senna builds/runes that I don't see being used or talked about very much, but that I still think can be relevant for her.
Maybe it's because of my rank or simply because I don't have enough experience, but I've always enjoyed experimenting with more unusual Senna builds. Over the years, the ones where I've personally felt the most noticeable impact were:
PTA — I've always thought this was a strong rune when paired with Kraken Slayer and Muramana. I haven't played it this season yet, though.
Aery — During the Senna peel meta, I played a lot of Aery Senna together with Black Cleaver, Kraken Slayer and Phantom Dancer. Is Aery still a good aggressive option? I haven't noticed a huge difference compared to the new Scorch meta. If anything, I've actually felt like I can pressure lane even more with Scorch.
Hail of Blades — Probably my favorite rune to play on Senna. I usually get some really good trades with it, and I can almost always set up a double kill for my ADC within the first 5 minutes. I think it works really well with an early Hubris and a more one-shot-oriented build, although Black Cleaver and Statikk Shiv didn't feel bad either.
Fleet Footwork — Probably the safest rune for Senna. Nothing particularly exciting to say about it — it just works.
Now, moving on to items:
First: why don't people build Kraken Slayer on Senna?
Maybe it's just because of my rank, but I've always felt like it's a really good aggressive option during Senna's laning phase. Is there something I'm missing about the item?
HexoC44: I don't really understand what the idea behind this item is, but I see a lot of Sennas building it. Wouldn't it be better to finish something like IE, Collector, or even Rapid Firecannon instead?
Manamune: I barely see Sennas building this anymore. With the current Scorch meta, doesn't going into the Sorcery tree make Manamune even more viable? From my perspective, something like Manamune + IE looks really strong.
Infinity Edge: I've also noticed a lot of players stopping their IE builds and going for other item paths instead. Is there a specific reason for that? Doesn't IE give Senna a massive damage increase in the long run?
Anyway, these are just some things I'd really like to discuss. Everything here comes from my own perspective and experience as someone who really enjoys playing Senna — and especially as a certified Kraken Slayer + Manamune enjoyer.
I'd love to hear what you guys think, especially from higher-ranked Senna players. Maybe there are some interactions or reasons behind these choices that I'm completely missing.

Hello. I am a midlaner but I like Senna as an ADC . However everytime I play her, I feel like I am just running it down. All ins feel awkward but since she has such high winrate I must be missing something.
Also why is black cleaver good on her and why does it supposedly stack quickly ? I want to be better at her because I love her design and aesthetic.
Any tips on how she should be played as an ADC primarily?

Supposing that i dont need to build Saw Cleaver as first item

The great Tank Senna dream is still not dead.
Thanks to the new season letting you get back to lane faster and support senna soul drop buffs, on average you can get 110+ souls by 20 minutes which lets you do decent damage even while building tank.
As wacky as hearsteel sounds, since Senna is the lowest hp champion bar Yuumi who can hide. Building straight hp early is the best way to maximise EHP and not get blown up, thus letting you farm even more souls in fights.

Hello, I've been playing more Senna lately with the standard Statikk, BC, Manamune setup, DFT, Helm start and all that jazz.
I feel she's quite safe and she does feel amazing in skirmishes thanks to the utility, heal, etc, but I do feel like she has lower agency than other adc's.
If I get fed with, say, a Jinx, I can carry the team through pretty dire gamestates once I get to my three items.
With Senna I feel that I don't have the raw DPS to carry teamfights if my team is not doing at least decent, since I don't kill people fast enough to make up for my teamates being wiped out soon in the fight. She feels pretty hopeless if I have no one to work with.
Jinx on the other hand can pull through if she gets a reset, and for example Kai'sa or Cait feel the same in the sense that I can salvage bad games more easily with them.
I understand Senna is stronger than them in later gamestates but I don't often get there if my team is doing poorly.
I do get that she's safer and brings more to the table when it comes to games where you need to let yourself get carried (even when behind, she still has lots of utility, and she feels much safer than other adc's) but I feel like in a soloQ environment she's much more dependent on things going at least okay for the rest of my team.
Am I missing something, undervaluing any of her strengths? Am I maybe farming souls too slowly? Which benchmarks should I hit for her to scale fast enough to feel more impactful earlier?

More damage and guaranteed because of q slow. Am i missing something?

Just wanted to share with you guys because I am a Senna main!
I have decent champ diversity and have played support and adc over the years, but whenever its time for a serious climb, I love playing Senna
This season was tricky because I recently decided I want to climb again, but I played tons of games with RL friends at the start of the season so was very hardstuck in emerald4, and LP gains were low.
I mostly played Senna Support but sometimes as ADC. Didnt get very creative with Runes, Deathfire Touch and always Cashback, that thing is way too good. Items as Support I almost always went Swifty boots into Black Cleaver, then Rapid Fire Cannon. RFC so good to get picks and stack souls, or chunk targets before important fights. As ADC I went Statikks first, so completely standard.
I think Senna is in a good spot, only games that felt hard was against hook champions bot like blitz or if they have too many assassins. I feel like no matter how behind I was, if I get RFC there was a chance to win though.
my op.gg https://op.gg/lol/summoners/euw/doppelmoral-AJH
just happy to share with the community :D
I know I am not a great player or anything but I like giving tips or give coaching just for fun (and of course for free), so if anyone want to improve their Senna and is on a lower level feel free to add me ingame (doppelmoral#ajh on EUW) or sent me a DM
Have a nice day !

I always feel like I delay my power spikes because the damage you get from statikk shiv is kinda lackluster. Plus its build path isn’t that great.
Compared to Hexoptics, I feel like I spike more, and get the added lifesteal late game from building crit.
I’ve been tear + pickaxe or tear + cull first back and building Hexoptics as my first legendary item.
From there I like to finish manamune, but could build RFC or IE depending on game state.
From there, last whisper, QSS, shield now, Maw, GA.
I’ve been feeling really good. You definitely are way squishier and you don’t get the little bonus with your Q AP scaling, but I’ve been enjoying crit + Muramana Senna a lot lately, forgoing Statikk and BC entirely.
Thoughts?

What’s everyone’s go to builds with senna support now? I haven’t played in about 2 months and I’ve seen lots of changes come through as far as items and runes revolving around senna. Is Fleet and PTA still good runes?
For context, I used to build Cleaver, RFC, and IE with runes being either PTA, Fleet, or Grasp/undying (depending on enemy team) I don’t enjoy playing her as a mage (ex: aery or deathfire torch with helia) as I enjoy roaming to help jng or other laners or get deep vision early. And roaming for obj as often as possible. I enjoy giving as much lane pressure as possible early game.
So what is everyone’s go to with the current state of the game?

Multiple ADC items have been buffed.
Runaans, Yun Tal, Berserkers (senna doesnt use)
and next patch stormrazor
If the problem was other ADCs being weak, why did they nerf Senna?
She is now weak because she has significantly lower winrate than easy to play champions like Jinx
r/sennamains • u/bcollins96 • 15d ago
What is she currently building? She changes so often that I have trouble keeping up.
It’s my understanding that DFT isn’t as broken as it was when it granted the fervor move speed from cleaver. However, it still gives some magic damage so makes her harder to itemize against?
I had been running aery -> cleaver -> RFC.
Is statikk now taken over RFF? I like the range from RFC, and statikk had always been a wave clear tool in my eyes?
And is fleet footwork worth taking again with the buffs?

He has a LOT more range than me with his abilities and he is faster so he negates mi poke, he can deal 50% of my hp lvl1 if he wants and he scales better and faster. What can I do?

Over the last week and a bit, I've been testing Voltaic Cyclosword in an attempt to recreate the golden days of Senna. The days where Senna would be top damage in the game more often than not and her survivability wasn't defined by how much health you built but how terrified of you the enemy team was. I made a post a week ago about it but I hadn't gotten much testing in so I didn't want to present it as a "build". Now that I'm more sure of it, I wanted to share the build here. Hopefully no one from Riot notices this and nerfs Senna...
Please note, everything here is for 'Support' Senna and would require some level of adaptation for Bottom.
With the strong alpha damage proc and bonus lethality for 4 seconds, this synergises insanely well with Senna's alpha-damage-oriented kit. This is the focal point of the entire build.
With the raw physical damage being supplied by Senna's passive and Cyclosword, this item comes online incredibly early and is the highest damage second item you can build by a solid margin.
My default 3rd item. It's cheap; it has generous stats, it has fantastic passives. You cannot go wrong with this one.
Last item isn't as important since you're already a fully armed and operational intercontinental ballistic death laser. Can't go wrong with IE. BORK also good. Axiom Arc could be nice for extra ults. I don't really know which is the best pickup.
Note: some may scoff and say "but you're a support, you don't have enough gold to build all these expensive items". Ummm, you're wrong. And the items are strong enough that you can keep up on damage even if you're behind so it ends up raising your damage ceiling at no cost.
Cut Down
Manaflow Band (along with POM, solves Senna's mana needs)
Celerity (more speed - more positioning control and kiting)
Adaptive Force x2 (very strong lane presence and oppressive power in early game)
Scaling Health (better than upfront health after hitting level 7)
Use bushes or your superior range to get a Q and basic attacks off to take most squishies from 100% to 50% almost instantly. Everything in your kit scales really well with AD and Armor Pen and this build has plenty of both. This way of building Senna has always been more satisfying for me as you get survivability from oppressing the enemy with surprising amounts of damage rather than relying purely on stats like HP.
Senna already dies really quickly if the enemy engages on her with the Black Cleaver build - so the loss of bonus HP really isn't that noticeable. The reduced attack speed compared to Statikk Shiv in return for more damage leads to more impactful feeling attacks and abilities which feels great and fits really well with Senna's fantasy.
