Hello everyone, been having a lot of trouble climbing in low diamond, frequently finding myself demoting back into emerald, play a few easy games in E1/D4 mmr, then struggle in D4/D3 mmr.

Unlike in emerald where I usually leave laning phase 1/0 or 2/0 I find its so much more difficult to get early kills in diamond, often times even or behind in cs depending on matchup. The more volatile lanes are becoming much more difficult to deal with now too (akali, fizz, irelia, ect.) I do have a bad habit of forcing and coinflipping in some of these harder matchups (or insane poke matchups like hwei) and either confirming my lead, burning everything or even worse dying.

Does anyone have tips on what to improve on? Generally my gameplan is to pivot into splitting and either killing my laner sidelane or rotating to a teamfight and utilizing the numbers advantage. A lot of these games feel out of my control, and I'm not sure what else to do. I roam quite often but usually later in the laning phase (levels 9-11), so perhaps I am roaming too late to impact the early game.

i was thinking maybe if against malphite or tanky matchups it might be worth bringing? or is first strike just the best one overall

It really opens up W backwards, R, instant W back angles. You can't do this when your move speed is the same since you have to flash to get into range, or immediately flash on arrival to dodge CC.

i swapped to firststrike recently and feel like i lost any agency i had. i dont win trades i cant fight early all i do is beeing afk for the first 10 min till i get first item and when your team feeds your laner i can go afk lane until min 20. had a bad game and checked first strike and it was 400 gold at 30 mins...

unless its giga skill issue ill just go back to electrocute. is it just to basically afk the matchup and try to get roaming kills through items ?

Not a rant post but genuinely just appreciation for how good zed feels rn in so long when it felt he just did zero damage, First strike with cut down + BB and Voltaic = bliss

And late game with endless hunger or maw or dd as options for survivability feel really nice too. I dont even take Ignite anymore since the damage is enough already, having tp for flexibility is very nice

When is better to go Eclipse over Cyclosword? I saw BZ building it vs Akali but I don't get the point of getting Eclipse as a first item since u proc it when Akali can't trade back and the shield is gone. Voltaic also does %hp dmg so what's the logic behind one or another?

Zed just doesn't seem to do enough damage. He just Q clears the wave and there's no opportunity to all in him with exhaust? You only get one rotation on him with WEQ, then he clears the wave, walks away of which now you have to swap W and ult into his ult and exhaust. What do?

Im pretty confused about zed counters, cuz akali does not show in any stat website as a counter, but i always get demolished and is also Onzed's current perma ban? how much of a hard counter is she actually?

Hi I’m learning zed and I’m constantly using W to gap close into R, but the target always runs away from me meaning I end up too far from both my shadows therefore only have 1 shuriken, what should i be fixing here?

Hi I just started maining zed and I’m noticing a lot of otps that create content, like zedangel, zed99, onzed, BZ, which one is the best mechanically and which one is the best overall in macro and mechanics ?

If I am aboutta 1v1 a guy for example or in a gank (Zed jg) Do I R first so my Combo AFTER The R will have 2-3 Qs and 2-3 Es instead of maximum 2

Or do I do what I currently do and W E Q E AUTO R

I basically do the combo I mentioned in 99% of situations so I am asking if ulting first is ever better

ANYWAYS, I am not flaming i am bad on zed myself but the last fight felt very clumsy, at this point anivia had died to me like 9 times already so she knew what I Wanted to do and kept kiting me
WOULD faker have 1v2d, saved nexus and stabilized? Especially being THIS fed

Dodged his R with my R (aura) And autod him once

I know I could have auto'd more but I was cocky and my favourite feeling on zed is to let them desperately try and kill me while death mark is ticking

this shouldnt even be CLOSE he whiffed everything AND he was behind

Am I missing something?
