This is just another reason to oppose continued attempts by the government to introduce age-gating and verification to the internet (as in Bill C-43 and S-209). Even if you don't oppose it because it's terrible policy that will have a chilling effect on people of all political persuasions (but especially women, LGBT people, and minorities), there's the simple fact that these companies are too big a target not to get hacked.
